Let’s start with a few of the most commonly asked questions:

Bored yet? You might be and you wouldn’t be alone. These are pretty standard questions and any wedding DJ should be able to answer them. Unfortunately, the DJ with the best canned answers might not be the right DJ for you. Let’s explore some questions you should be asking and some visual clues to look for when interviewing DJs to help you make sure you get the right fit for your dream day.

Questions:

  1. Can you tell us about your DJ experience? How did you learn your trade? What’s your DJ background?

  3. Ask a question related to the music you listen to, in order to gauge musical knowledge.
  4. Do you have mixes available for us to listen to?
  5. Do you have references we can contact?
  6. How do you handle requests?
