"DJ Rew is a quadruple threat. His reputation as one of the best DJs in Portland, Maine’s storied hip-hop community, has been solidified for nearly a decade. His ability to cut, scratch, and manipulate records is among the best. His intuitive, natural ability to rock a party (or a dancefloor or a concert or a wedding) has left him ranked alongside the legendary DJ Jon as one of New England’s most respected, most proven DJs. However, Rew is so much more than a DJ. His under-the-radar work as a rapper on his debut album “Plan B,” prove his talent as an emcee as well. Additionally, Rew is also well respected amongst producers for his work producing beats for other artists as well as his live performances as half of the Portland-based drums-and-samplers duo The Odd Couple. In the group, Rew notoriously operates two MPC samplers simultaneously, in lock-step with former Whitcomb drummer Mark Sayer.
